Antony Gordon is a name synonymous with Detroit musical greatness. He is recognized among his peers as "Tony G" and he has a unique and artistic musical approach, unlike any other in his generation. Tony G has been playing piano since the age of 9, professionally since the age of 16 and has enjoyed a very successful music career. His knowledge of music and musical equipment is phenomenal; he is often described as a walking catalog of music.
Tony G has been working in the Detroit music scene for over 25 years. He first got his start composing and arranging tracks with the Christian hip hop group "LiveStock" but has since arranged and co-produced songs for a host of local and national artists. He has gained a reputation for his attention to detail as it relates to learning music, learning the main parts as well as auxiliary parts. This attention to music has afforded him the opportunity to serve as supporting keyboardist as well as main keyboardist for many artists including The Dramatics, Glenn Jones, The Daz Band, Lin Rountree, Althea Rene, Robert Glasper, Les Nubians, Mike Phillips, Phil Denny, Julian Vaughn, Stokley Williams (from Mint Condition) and Shaun LaBelle. Tony G has also graced the stages of Detroit's premier venues such as The Fox Theatre, Chene Park, The Music Hall for Performing Arts, and The Charles H. Wright Museum.
